Hayes recovered and ready
In a brief conversation with Monster Energy Graves Yamaha racer Josh Hayes yesterday he revealed that he was not feeling 100% at Mid-Ohio a few weeks ago. The heat at Barber followed by the heat of the NOLA test and the days leading up to Mid-Ohio wiped “Hurricane” out. Even with that going on Hayes was able to race through the sluggish feeling and win both Superbike races. Since that time Hayes went home to Oceanside, CA to recover and train with the likes of MotoGP star Cal Crutchlow and few other folks. Hayes was able to pedal through the mid season slump and says that now feels much better.
Hayes is winless in the Superbike class at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Could this be the weekend he gets his first or will the likes of Roger Hayden, Josh Herrin, Ben Bostrom or Geoff May step up and keep Hayes off the top step? Coverage begins Sunday night at 11PM East/8PM Pacific only on SPEED.
